I took part in the Inktober challenge this year – a challenge during October where you create a drawing each day for a specific prompt. The list of prompts are released at the start of the month, and the only rule is that they must be done in ink!

Overall, I had a lot of fun with it. Some days were more motivating than others but it was nice not to dwell on previous day’s drawings and move onto a new piece every day.
I also learnt a few drawing skills and techniques as the event went on. I found that although I’d spend a similar amount of time every day on the drawings (about 45-60 mins), I was able to add a lot more detail in that same time during the last few days compared to earlier on (just look at the detail on that day 1 fish)! My confidence in drawing definitely improved massively too, and I’d love to continue to draw in the future, whether it be for fun or for personal projects. 🙂
